Silence that Soothes

Just one candle is all she needs,
to fight the dark that her grief feeds.
And feel the heat it radiates,
watching the light that it creates.

The constant sound of raindrops fill,
to cover thoughts when despair kill.
Accompanied with clock that ticks,
and to ignore when fate plays tricks.

"I'm not afraid" as the girl says.
"the dark and silence soothes my days."
"The tree, it's outside my window,
I'm not alone with its shadow."

"Please go away, I want to sleep."
She puts her blanket on and weep.
And now she's done she grabs ahold,
with loneliness that will unfold

Inspiration: Sometimes people need a break from bickering noises; to actually sit in a dark room and try to focus all of the senses. Auditory and touch. Solitude is not always a bad thing, sometimes we like to be alone and reflect on things. One stanza has 4 lines and follows a rhyme scheme of ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH
